Michelle Gagnon-Creeley
Junior Planner & Communications Specialist
Michelle is an urban planner, landscape designer, and teacher with a passion for community engagement, public space, and social equity.
With experience in both landscape architecture and urban planning, her practice is rooted in connecting community through spatial design using an empathetic, and trauma-informed approach. She also teaches at UBC’s School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture, guiding students through critical explorations of public space and community building. She is an advocate for housing justice and spatial equity, and has volunteered extensively with unhoused communities in Vancouver. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong belief that centering the lived experiences of our most vulnerable community members is integral to creating spaces with intention and care.
Michelle has a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia, and a bachelors degree in urban planning from Concordia University.
